Creating Your Digital Learning Portfolio
You can access a blank copy of the digital learning portfolio here. Make sure that you make a copy of it in your Student Portfolio folder so that you are not working on the original. Click here to access the blank copy.
Here's something that students can work on as part of their coding lessons. They can create a game of their own in Scratch. Here's an example of what something that they could create once they learn some basic coding. Try it out. Click the flag, then move the goal keeper in front of the goal and press the space bar. Move the mouse and your goal keeper wil follow it. Have fun! Unfortunately, this requires flash. If you are on an iPad, this game won't play.
Federation
Australia has not always been one nation. After European settlement, Australia was a group of self-governed colonies. Each colony was a British colony. After Federation, Australia was still considered a British colony, but instead of being separate colonies, it became the Commonwealth of Australia. You will need to perform research to complete a Google Slide Presentation. The outline for your presentation can be found by clicking here.
Koala v Panda
You have finished some research on koalas and pandas. It's now time to put that information to use. Open the following document, make a copy of it and explain how the physical features of each and their diet enable them to survive in their respective habitats. Explain what you think would happen if each was released into the other's habitat and why you think so. Click here for the document.
